CyberHub
Cloud-based tools for cyber research and education
Free tools for Florida public education institutions to assist in teaching and researching
Tools + Services
The CyberHub is a free resource available to public K–12 schools, the State University System of Florida, and the Florida College System to facilitate cybersecurity education and research.
Course Catalog
The Course Catalog hosts a collection of educational resources available to instructors at all levels, from grade school to college, and for continuing professional development. Resources such as syllabi, lesson plans, slides, homework assignments, and exams are available as shared community assets for Florida educators.
Desktop-as-a-Service
Scalable and efficient, Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) allows users to access software applications remotely. Resources are housed and managed by the CyberHub, supplying students and faculty with a Windows desktop equipped with the tools and files needed for cybersecurity instruction and training—simply log in and start working.
Secure Sandbox
The Secure Sandbox is a protected laboratory for cybersecurity education, training, and testing. Because it is not connected to the internet, students and researchers can investigate malicious files and software without exposing other devices or potentially compromising other systems.
Full Help Desk Support
The Florida CyberHub is administered by Cyber Florida and includes services for user onboarding, technical help desk support, and even assistance with designing, building, and implementing virtual labs and exercises to support existing and new courses.
Do I need permission from my IT office?
If you are a SUS faculty member, you do not need to contact your IT Department. Cyber Florida at USF has already secured permission from the chief IT officer at each SUS institution. If you are a public school teacher conducting a Cybersecurity Essentials course, Cyber Florida at USF has already obtained permission from your district to use the Florida CyberHub and has ensured that its use aligns appropriately with district policies.
If I use the CyberHub, will I retain ownership of my coursework?
Faculty members who use the CyberHub retain full ownership of all content they provide, and coursework is only accessible to students enrolled in the course. Faculty members may choose to make their curricula available to others, but that is at each faculty member's discretion and direction.
